To give my students the inquisitiveness and skills to participate in the pursuit of knowledge…
I begin with the belief that education is a joint effort between a teacher and his or her students which is why it is important to encourage students to be actively engaged in the learning process in order to develop their knowledge and skills. Hence, it is my goal to create an atmosphere that encourages participation and involvement.
I will also strive to engage, challenge and inspire growth in my students by providing every student the opportunity to question the purpose and relevance of language in the real world.
As a Coach, I will accomplish the following with all my students:
1. Engaging learning process. Learning should come with deep understanding which is possible when students are empowered to actively and cooperatively apply knowledge from their materials to their everyday world via creative and meaningful ways.
2. Helping followed by challenging. My students will be honed to develop the necessary skills and encouraged to rise to challenges when quality work is required of them.
3. Importance of language proficiency. I will emphasize relevance to their lives by discussing the importance of language proficiency in this society where bilingualism is an advantage.

To be a facilitator of learning rather than just as an expert who simply delivers information…
I do not want to be the “sole classroom leader”, whereby students are taught what to do, how to do and what to think about. Rather, I will guide and assist my students in learning for themselves, stimulating their own thinking process, encourage exploration and making associations. I believe this is by far the most effective learning method and through this, the potential of every students can be fulfilled.
As a Coach, I will accomplish the following with all my students:
1. An affirmative learning experience. Every mistake made will be seen as an opportunity to explore misconceptions rather than an indication of a student's proficiency.
2. Access to a caring individual. My students can always find me whenever they need guidance or help on matters they are not familiar with.
3. Empowerment. I make it a point to ensure that information is not just delivered to the students but to enable them to apply the knowledge acquired independently.

Coaching does not involve merely passing of knowledge to students and teaching them to solve problems, but also to foster intrinsic motivation and nurture the passion to learn, allowing their own natural curiosity to direct their learning.
It is my desire to help my students realise their fullest potential by helping them to discover who they are so they can express their own opinions and cultivate their own gardens of ideas and knowledge.
As a Coach, I will accomplish the following with all my students:
1. Bringing lots of energy to my class. If I am not excited about the subject I am coaching, why should my students?
2. A positive learning environment. My students will be called upon to discuss questions to facilitate in-depth learning. Mistakes will be deemed as opportunities to explore misconceptions but not as a reflection of a student's competencies.
3. Respect. All students work hard, one way or another, to achieve their desired grades and ought to be entitled to express their opinions. I will be more than happy to facilitate their learning process.
